Also called shimpi (शिंपी) in Marathi. Word tailorbird or shimpi is for it can stitch leaves together, in which nests are formed, hidden from predators. Male and female looks similar.

Their head is whitish grey, and their neck and underparts are pinkish grey-brown. Brown tail. White spotted dark back collar patch. Brown wings also have white spots. Male and female are similar

These clicks are taken from rear balcony of my home in Warora (Dist: Chandrapur).
A beautiful bird. Males have gray crown, cheeks, and back. Throat and wings are black, tail is black with pale yellow edges. Breast is orange and gradually fades into yellowish-white underparts. Black wings show a patch of orange. Female is duller than male. Female have light gray upperparts, dark gray wings, whitish throat; and light yellow underparts. Observed a little orangish tint below wings.
